If Nikki Haley is Amritsars Why is Sonia not Italy’s?

As expected Indian Media has gone GaGa over Nikki Haley winning the governorship of South Carolina

However, NDTV headline Amritsar's Nikki Haley is South Carolina Governor takes the cake.

This Report on Nikki Haley will give you an Idea of how Indian she is!

So the question We at Media watch want to ask is if NDTV can call Nikki Haley Amritsar’s why cant they say Sonia Gandhi Italy’s?

HT take the Headline War to new levels

Hindustan Times has taken the Media Headline War Against RSS to new level! In their Article BJP invites terror accused to talk nationalism HT claims

The BJP’s minority morcha (wing) has invited RSS national executive member Indresh Kumar — whose name has been mentioned in the Ajmer blast charge sheet — to address its minority delegates on the subject of nationalism.

Please note shocking difference between headline and body. Headline claims ‘terror accused’ while body says ‘name has been mentioned’. HT needs to understand mentioning someone's name in chargesheet does not make them accused.

Adarsh Scam: Whose expose is it anyway?

The biggest story 0f the week is Adarsh scam in which congress politicians and Bureaucrats grabbed the housing meant for widows of Kargil War heros

As expected most of channels are falling head over heal to corner credit for the expose.

IBN in its story How IBN7 exposed the Adarsh Society scam claims

IBN7 was the first to expose the Adarsh Society scam. The channel broke the story as early as April 2 of this year.

Times of India in their article Adarsh turns into Cong nightmare reports

The Adarsh housing scam, which The Times of India exposed a week ago, is getting murkier by the day.

Times Now in their article Chavan revokes occupation certificate to Adarsh claims

After TIMES NOW blew the lid off the Adarsh Cooperative Housing Society scam

We at Media Watch are gladdening to see media’s ‘wholehearted’ effort to expose corruption. Especially one involving congress and its government

However, unlike what media wants us to believe the scam was exposed by Indian Express as early as August Year 2003. Yes you heard it right, the information on Adarsh Scam was in public domain for last 07 years. And the credit for this expose goes to Indian Express. Indian Express in their article Officer in CBI net ropes big fish for prime Mumbai plot reported

Over-riding opposition from the Ministry of Defence, the Adarsh Cooperative Housing Society, with 71 members, aims to rip up more than 100 trees of the lush Kukri Ecopark on a controversial bit of super-prime land—a little less than an acre valued at Rs 34 crore—abutting critical army and navy defence establishments.

In Mantralay, the seat of Maharashtra’s government, the Adarsh Society’s saga is known for its high stakes and low machinations. The allotment of the land was cleared by the chief minister himself, as are all vacant plots in land-starved Mumbai.

Almost all the information which is being presented today as ‘Expose’ was included in this report! And it seems even CBI was investigating the people involved in this case!

Now the question which media watch has is why is media going out of its way ‘Reexpose’ something which was in public domain for last 07 years? as the objective of this Expose to Expose or to hide something bigger?

Seems NDTV needs a crash course on Hinduism

In past, Fans have built a temple for Superstar Rajinikanth,  actress Kushboo and even for sexy siren Namitha. Nothing special there.  Hinduism allows people to worship deity of choice.

Similarly, A temple to "Goddess English" is being built in a village in India's Uttar Pradesh state to encourage the local Dalit community to learn English.

But if NDTV is to be believed with the act of opening a “English goddess” temple a new religion has born! NDTV reports -

In Uttar Pradesh a new religion has taken birth, Dalits in the Lakhimpur Kheri district are now worshiping the 'Goddess of English'. The followers are the Chatpatate sect of Dalits.

What's being left unsaid in most of the media is perhaps due to naivety these Dalit's will also be celebrating October 25, Birthdate of Lord Macaulay. Lord Macaulay who wanted to "form a class who may be interpreters between us and the millions whom we govern; a class of persons, Indian in blood and color, but English in taste, in opinions, in morals, and in intellect".

Lastly, if you think this grand scheme was cooked up by some Dalit's sitting at a nondescript village in UP, you are in for a surprise.  The brain behind this move is Chandrabhan Prasad, a researcher at Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
